The World’s Most Radical Foundation!

When I first started wearing makeup in particular, foundation, I always noticed how limited the shade ranges were, more so in high street brands, but also in more expensive brands.  I noticed how none of the shades were really catered towards the darker complexion, and that there were also no super fair shades.  I particularly noticed the lack of very fair shades, because growing up (before the times of fake tanning came along) I had a very pale complexion and struggled to find a foundation that suited my exact skin tone.

However, more recently, many more brands have realised these lack in shades and noticed how exclusive this is in terms of making everyone feel accepted.  Brands like Fenty Beauty by Rihanna have been one of very few brands to release a vast number of foundation shades for pretty much EVERY skin tone.  In terms of drugstore brands, brands like Maybelline and L’Oreal also have a very wide range of shades to choose from.

Yes, these brands have a phenomenal choice of shades to choose from, but I recently came across the brand UOMA beauty and I was very intrigued by the work of this brand.  Classed as the worlds most radical foundation, UOMA beauty has a choice of 51 foundation and concealer shades, ranging from very fair to very dark.  It is one of the most inclusive makeuo brands that I have personally come across, as not only does it focus on skin tones, but it also accepts that different types of skin, for example very fair skin and more olive skin, has very different properties, which meant that UOMA beauty also focused deeply on skin types when creating their foundation.

They also celebrate culture as a huge part of their brand, in particular the African culture, and make everyone feel included, not matter their race, religion or culture, and not only celebrate those a part of the African culture.  For me this is a huge reason why I find this brand so revolutionary and inspiring, as I believe that the story behind it is very accepting and loving of everyone.
