On the second day of my New York trip, me and my course mates visited Chelsea, in Midtown Manhattan. We first took a visit to the Chelsea markets where there were some lovely gift shops and jewellery shops. There were also lots of nice places to eat, ranging from Mexican cuisine to your typical American food. There were also some food markets downstairs. We decided to stop off at Friedmans cafe for some brunch as we were all quite hungry. I had some delicious blueberry pancakes.

There was a cute little shop at the end of all of the markets which sold lots of dainty jewellery items and other nice souvenirs. I was very tempted by all of the dainty silver jewellery, especially the earrings but they were quite expensive so I didnt buy anything, but it was nice to look.

After the Chelsea Markets, we walked along the High Line in Chelsea which is a park where you can walk along Manhattan but it is higher than the main streets so you get a good view of the streets. I really enjoyed this walk although it was very cold!
