In today’s seminar we were split into small groups where we were each given a photo shoot that had featured in a vogue magazine. We were given a photoshoot called the Trans-Siberian Express, photographed by Norbert Schoerner. The editorial was taken in January 2005 and modelled by Rie Rasmussen. We were told to look carefully at this shoot and pick out 5 key words that we thought best fit this shoot. Here are some of the photos that feature in this photoshoot.
The 5 words that we came up with were; Journey, Loneliness, Seduction, Mystery and Glamour. However, we wanted to make these a bit more interesting so we looked at different synonyms of these words and came up with these words- fluid, enigma, exoticism, mesmerise and paradox.
For the next stage of this task, we had to think of ideas of how we could use these words to create our own photoshoot but have nothing to do with the photoshoot we’ve just looked at. I will talk more about the photoshoot we came up with in my next blog post.
